Difference between resistor and resistance?

* Resistor

                A resistor is a passive electrical component with two terminals that are used for either (limiting or regulating the flow of electric current in electric circuit)

                  The main purpose of resistor is to be a reduce or control the flow of current in electric circuit and resistance is electrical component with a predetermined electrical resistance like 1 ohm, 10 ohm, 100 ohm, 1000 ohm.

* Resistance

                 Resistance is the property of a conductor which determines the quantity of current that passes through when potential difference is applied across it.

               Depending on how much current you want passes through a circuit you would design the circuit with required resistors.
